Lucky

So as I am walkin' to school today I started to think about my graduating class, that got me to thinking about the 3 class members that had suffered life changing accidents (which is to put it lightly.) I feel so blessed that none of my close friends has suffered anything like that because I do not know what I would do without the in my life. It was deffinatley a blow to hear about the classmate that died in a rollover accident. He was an inspiration to a lot of classmates myself included. He lived by Jesus' golden rule and treated others as he wished to be treated. He was one of the happiest people I have ever met and it is a shame that his light has been taken from this world. My other 2 classmates 1 is paralyzed but she continues to lead a happy life, even though she has had to endure some major changes. The other has had to relearn to walk, and now has a severly diminished mental capacity however he gets stronger ever day and has a great support system in his parents and family. I just wanted to post today to remember my classmate that is no longer with us and just to say how lucky

Frostbite

So we are the 11 overall seed going into this tournament, 3 seed in our pool. to me this is a mistake, the TD is just asking for some Northern Lights domination in pool play, especially if it gives us a chance to exact some revenge on North Texas (Only Steers and Queers come from Texas and they don't look like steers...) I digress with how hard our team is working now there is no way I don't see us not playing to our potential, even though once again we will be traveling down south w/o a lot of our taller player I am excited to see what this team can do in it's second outdoor tournament of the season. Northern Lights have never had played in this many tournaments this early on in the season, I am hoping that it translates into wins during the season and doesn't have a lot of players burning out. I am hopeful though, we are focused, we are driven we know what we want, so watch out Washington U, Truman St. Wisconsin B, Missouri Rolla; NL are hungrier than they have ever been and are read to put the wood in. hopefully my ankles stop bleeding by the time this tournament starts so I can be 100%

on a side note, I am hoping that there is no drama this weekend, no parties get busted, no one gets picked up for pulic urination, no more noses almost get broken, hopefully Becky won't smash anything/anyone. that is all for now look next for a write up on Frostbite.

End of the Fro

Another drama filled weekend, mainly just saturday. Saturday was just uppossed to be a real chill night with some ultimate kids, and a few randoms, but then, a certain kid showed up, who brought all of his g-damn friends that were sketch as fuck! needless to say this freshman did not know their place and were very disrespectful. One kid who first decided to mock me then fuck with my fro. now normally I don't have a problem with someone touching my hair, but don't just walk by a mother fucker and touch his hair fuck that!!! I swear to god that mother fucker does it again his shit will get fucked up, it almost did last night, luckily M.C. love calmed me down and shit was cool till the cops showed up. Now I am not mad that the police showed up, I understand why they showed up; they showed up because a certain freshman had to invite over a bumch of other freshman who got way too unruley, one of which decided to break a glass window. Anyways, cops show up let us leave, which had they handed out minors we only have ourselves to blame, and by we, I mean the dumbass underagers who don't know how to fucking act when they get drunk....just dumb as a mother fucker...anyways, Im still pretty salty, shit is still pretty fucked up

weekend

what a crazy long weekend, prolly had too much drink friday night, lost my keys went home with some girl...we aren't gonna talk about friday anymore. Saturday I was sober cabbing a girl on the team turned 21 so went out to help her celebrate, went back to a house to continue the festivities. this is where this night does a 180. Some people on the Northern Lights team tend to drink too much Captain and coke, this person pretty much only drinks Captain and Coke...and when he gets drunk he tends to give hickeys as well, however, the tables turned on him and he was held done, may have been suffocated a little and given a hickey. It was at this point that the person we will name "Becky" broke free, seeing me kinda of running away, "Becky" decides he wants it smash something, manly my nose into the ground. after cleaning up the blood and "Becky" apologizing I don't even know how many times.

Let this serve as a warning to those of you in the Northwoods section and Central region watch out. "Becky" will smash your nose to the ground if you make him angry and he has some Captain in his system

Mardi Gras

Well the team just got done with one of the biggest tournament of our careers. it was pretty succesful, and we played som pretty spirited and fun teams with 2 exceptions. and Bourbon Street was everything I thought it would be and more, women just dancin ' naked all over the place...
here is a short recap of how the weekend went:

first game saturday Valdadosta St. a young team with some height and pretty athletic, we get down early but bounce back and beat 15-12 I think, we learned a lot about ourselves as a team here early on.

second game was Missouri, they had a chance to rest after their first game and watch us play, we came out more confident in this game then we did the last game reamains close but we pull out a win as the cap blows, 12-11, would really like to see these guys again when we have a deep game

third game Central Florida B. a pretty young team, we get rolling early and never really look back team starts playing like we were at the end of the fall we had great movement and we played with good spirt, this game was never close we win 13-5 or 13-4

last game of pool play OK St. this was a tough game for us, they had just come off their by and we were about to play our 4th straight game, they are in better shape so they end up being able to hang around a lot longer than they should have, a lot of discussions in this game Becknasty got absolutley beckified in this game he had one of the sickest layouts I have seen in a long time it wa a huge point to take half got our line pretty fired up we played pretty solid D after this and wait out the cap we ended up being up by 3 when the horn blows so game over, Northern Lights wins their pool and now has a chance to move up to the A bracket.

Last game of Saturday North Texas: Where to begin with these guys, most of their team was cool and chill, however, the guys on their team that were dicks were dicks to a new extereme, a lot of nit picky calls on both sides almost gets really heated when one of their players shoves one of ours in the face. we decide to play their game and sink to their level doesn't work out well for us we end up loosing 9-14 over all a good start to the weekend

Sunday: we start off with Alabama, another team we have never seen we come out really fird up really quickly rattle off 3 or 4 straight breaks before they score, this one was never close we blow them out 13-5 great start to the day

second game of sunday...GOP....I can't even begin to explain how much I dislike this team...they want to think they are CUT but they aren't just a bunch of fuckin rich assholes...and read the g-damn rules!! as expected this game is heated pretty early we never seem able to pull away and keep letting them back in, we should have finished them off when we were up 11-9. we get lucky in this one cause they don't know the rules call a T.O. in overtime which is a turnover, Tros checks the disc in throws the fianls score to LT we win 12-11, our second univers point win of the weekend

OK apes of Wrath: both teams are pretty tired at this point we come out kinda flat not to fired up, we keep it close till the second half, just too many turnovers to win this game but we had some great Zone offense which was nice to see. we loose this game 7-13 half was 6-7

overall a great weekend 6-2 saw some good competion won some close games, for the most part we kept our compsure and kept battling, and no one got arrested down in New Orleans. thats all I got for now
