Spring Break part 1

3/14/08 Troops are weary after having driven 14 hours to Nashville TN, weare currently staying in a HoJO hotel trying to avoid all of them southerners who are masaginistic, and trying to sodomize us.

3/15/08 as more cars arrive the d-town army is slowly coming together, after a 2 hour rain delay spring break '08 officially begins for d-town.

Duluth opens up the tournament with the Arkansas it is a pretty good game for the d-towners. we start out very strong and get up a couple of breaks we end up letting them come back and lose on universe. I can't really remember any sweet plays from this game I could be wrong.



After our bye, we played Missouri for the second time the first time we played them we let them hang around. this did not happen the seccond time, we shredded their zone and played hard and ended up beating them 12-8, it was still a good spirited game. now that D-town had finally gotten out their car legs it was now time to put up or shut up.



third game Northern Lights came out against Tennesse. We again come out srong get up a couple of breaks, but the wind and rain make it tough for all the teams and we end up letting the come back but we hang in there and finish out the game i don't really remember too much from this game other than that we beat them we never really had problems with their zone and we were pretty chilly working the disc around a lot of guys played well not overplaying their role.



4th game was against vanderbilt for a chance for a first round bye. we came out pretty strong but lacked the mentallitiy to finish the job and ended up loosing, i think a lot of people let the weather effect tehir mood and the clouds rain and wind just made it too difficult to focus we lost this game 11-6, we hold seed and now decide it was time for some team bonding and food, we all shower shit and eat, and deffinatly did not act like queers!! cause ya know you have to watch out for all of them queers in the south.



we went to some shitty buffet which I think was a mistake. way to expensive, luckily the gophers won their quarter finals game against Indiana. some of the team decide to drink some beersss braaaah... and then we passed out and start dreaming of some Northern Lights dominatation!!



Sunday: the d-towners wake up and eat some shitty continetal breakfast. we get going and start warming up way before the other team shows up and they were not ready for what hit them!!! or so we hoped...Volunteer State was not a very good team we played down to their level however, because we once again jumped out to a gigantic lead we were able to hold them off and get to the quarterfinals.

We ended up playing the 1 seed of the tournament which we shouldn't have happened but we pysched ourselves out and because they scored soo many points against the hodags...
we started out pretty loud and strong against James Madison but we just never got it going we had our chances but never converted the second half we played worse but loosened up and had more fun (Spring break '08 wooooooooooooooooooo!!!!) we get rolled, we can use all the excuses we want about getting screwed out of the brackets by vanderbilt but we could have beaten them and should have they were a good team and we just never did what we needed to do..

we had one more game that no one took seriously and we played a lot of our younger players ie, myself and others. we lost this game, should have won but no one was in it we were all dreading our drive down to GA. the highlight of the game for me was falling into a mud puddle for a score. It was a good time for all after we got down with the game the team wanted to pray with ours which most of them did I chose not to as I was wet and cold, as soon as they got done parying having not realized that they were a christian school I got naked and started off the nudity of spring break wooooooo!!

After this tournament it was on to GA the peach State part II to come later in the week...
